Your role will require and challenge you to

  • Work with Product Managers, UX designers, and other (frontend and backend) developers

  • Improve code quality through pair programming and code reviews

  • Identify and communicate best practices

  • Have the right mindset to build and ship high-quality code to production every day 

  • Handle security aspects while designing and coding, not as an afterthought 

  • Have an open mind on tooling and languages 

  • Take pride in what you deliver 

  • Be proactive and self-driven 

  • Be a strong team player and prefer to work with others in all phases of the development process 

  • Enjoy collaborating across borders in an international environment 

What you bring

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience

  • Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript and Node.js or similar technologies

  • Experience in building single-page web applications

  • Strong experience in RESTful API design and implementation using C# and ASP.NET Web API or similar technologies

  • Proficiency in SQL databases

  • Ability to write high-performing, testable, and reusable code

  • Experience in CSS

  • Fluent in English (our working language) 

  • Fluent in Norwegian language

While we put mindset and being a team player at the top of the list, you get additional points if you are familiar with, or have good knowledge of, any of the following: 

  • Message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)

  • Ability to design and architect scalable backend systems

  • Familiarity with design systems and shared components

  • Redux Toolkit (RTK) and RTK Query

  • Writing end-to-end tests using frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or TestCafe

  • Frontend and CSS architecture

  • CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices

  • Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (Azure)

On the Frontend, we work primarily with React and Node.js, but we are open to candidates who have worked with similar frameworks and technologies, such as Angular or Vue.js.

On the Backend, we work primarily with ASP.NET Web API, Microsoft SQL Server, and RabbitMQ, but we are open to candidates who have worked with similar technologies, such as PostgreSQL and ActiveMQ.

Please note that the job is located in Oslo, Norway. We require applicants to already reside in Norway with a relevant work or residency permit.

To work #bettertogether, we operate with a hybrid working mode in the United States (US). For those near a US hub location, we gather in our office locations three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For the remaining days, we work from home. Our current hub locations are in Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, and South Bend, IN.
